Court Reporting - Stenograph Machine Grand Prairie, Texas

Prepare to enter a successful career in Court Reporting, Closed Captionist or CART Reporter with Court Reporter training from Arlington Career Institute, located in Grand Prairie, Texas.

Choose your program of study! ACI offers two Court Reporting programs.

The Court Reporting Program

A Court Reporter uses a stenograph machine to document all statements made in official proceedings. The machine allows them to press multiple keys at a time to record combinations of letters representing sounds, words, or phrases. The words are translated by computer aided transcription software for simultaneous transition to English.

  • Both courses are designed to prepare the student for an entry-level position as a Court Reporter, Broadcast Captioner, Communication Access Real-time Captioner (CART), or Official Judicial Reporter.

The Court Reporting Program - Stenomask Reporter

Court Reporting - Stenomask Reporter

A Stenomask Reporter speaks directly into a hand held, voice-to-text machine. A good voice writer must speak very quickly, must repeat everything that is said and be able to identify speakers, insert punctuation, non-verbal responses and gestures.

You'll learn English skills, transcription, legal and medical terminology, and other vital skills to start your Court Reporter career. Plus, the Court Reporting program at Arlington Career Institute is approved by the National Court Reporters Association (NCRA). www.ncraonline.org
