Arlington Career Institute offers two Court Reporting school programs:

1. Stenograph Machine Program

2. Stenomask Reporter Program

Stenograph machines

Stenograph machines are utilized to document all court room statements. Multiple keys are pressed at any given time to record combinations of sounds, words or phrases. These combinations of court room recordings are then translated by a special computer program that translates everything to English. These are the skills that are learned best on the job, so it is important to have the right program to teach you the skills necessary to be able to perform at your job and obtain the level of experience the industry looks for.

Stenomask Reporter

A Stenomask Reporter is someone that has a recording device that they speak directly into which is then converted into text. Voice writers are people who know how to talk fast, repeat what they say and can identify speakers, know when to punctuate and have good non-verbal feedback.

You'll learn English skills, transcription, legal and medical terminology, and other vital skills to start your Court Reporter career.

Court Reporter Grad

"The biggest and most respected firm in Memphis is Riverside Reporting Service. I was approached by a senior partner and offered a position with them. I eagerly accepted, but the reasons why are really super. We have been writing real-time, and the attorneys are very impressed (a very good reason to write perfect notes). Things really couldn't be better. I am very lucky to have been able to come out to Memphis, and I wanted to thank you for giving me that opportunity."
